Sharing the Blog Love: Zena’s Suitcase

Whilst I take a little blog break I thought it would be nice to continue my series sharing the blog love, and have scheduled guest posts for you from some of my favourite bloggers. Hope you enjoy them 🙂

Zena_1-picDescribe your blog in a tweet

It’s my space where I share things important to me and my family, what we do, where we go and how we feel. We unpack regularly to inspire you.

Tell us three goals you’d like to tick off your bucket list before your next big birthday

I’m just on the cusp of changing the direction of my life completely and goals are really important to me at the minute. Without them we don’t know if we are heading in the right direction. I’ve visited a few blog camps and I find them powerful and inspiring. I’m really looking forward to being at Britmums in June as I think this will motivate me further.

My goals are currently to become a professional blogger, what ever that means. It’s nothing more than someone who earns money from the blogging. It’s not a dirty word, and not everyone wants to monetize their blogs which is fine too. I see the potential in the power of blogging and the community that goes with it, I’d I’d like to make it my career.

From the above I’d like to inspire a blog community to achieve great things and I hope to do this in many ways. It might be speaking at events, growing online communities and supporting other bloggers to achieve their goals. Watch this space!

The last is a personal goal and I’d like to visit New York with my teen for his 18th birthday before he tells me he never wants to holiday with me again.

What is your ultimate three course meal?

Oh, this is a toughy. I love food! To start would have to be gambas pil pil, my favourite prawn dish from Spain. I would follow with steak, and to finish something very chocolatey.

Who was your first crush?

Now I’m going to show my age aren’t I. It was George Michael. I was a huge Wham! fan back in the day

Tell us what your three favourite posts are

Some of my favourite posts are the semi-biographical posts I’ve written for #ThePrompt with Sara at Mum Turned Mom. I like where this takes my writing but sadly don’t get to link up as much as I’d like. It takes a great deal of creative space to produce this kind of content and I’ve found as babies get more demanding and life gets busier it’s hard to find the space to do the kind of things that inspire these kinds of posts. Here’s 3 of my best for you to take a look at.

  1. Really interesting insight, Zena, and I believe he you want to monetise your blog it shouldn’t be seen as a dirty word just an alternative to others who don’t want to
    Best of luck xx xx
