Review: BubbleBum Inflatable Car Booster Seat is a non-driving family, and my hubby and I do not hold a license between us. Perhaps one day we’ll learn, but it suits us for now (well most of the time anyway). We have car seats for the children for lifts and taxi journeys, and as the two little ones have grown bigger it was on my to-do list to buy a new seat. I had heard about the BubbleBum Inflatable Car Booster Seat through the fab blog Writing Life As It Is, and was thrilled when BubbleBum got in touch asking if I’d like to review it.

“BubbleBum, the cost-effective, portable, lightweight, brightly coloured, inflatable car booster seat for children aged between 4-11 easily deflates and folds flat so that kids or mum and dad can carry it in rucksacks or handbags, making it perfect for holidays, rental cars, taxis, coach journeys, school trips or car pooling.”

Little Miss P models the Bubble Bum booster seatIt really is a genius idea, because the seat deflates down to nothing, and is able to fit into a teeny bag. Yet at the same time it only takes a few puffs to blow it up (unlike my padding pool, but that’s another story). Great news for non drivers like us, but also super handy for the drivers. I’m sure it would be fab to have an additional car seat that could live in the car and not take up any room when it’s not being used.

Little Miss P modelling for Bubble BumMy daughter is quite small for her age, and this seat comes with an extra strap that attaches to the car seat belt, giving her an extra level of comfort. This was a big plus point for us, because when she sat in our other booster cushion the seat belt rubbed under her chin. This seat got the resounding thumbs up from Little Miss. P, and once her three year old sister turns four we shall be buying another one!

Don’t just take my word for it though, check out how many awards these guys have won over the last few years.

The seat retails for Β£29.99, and is available online through the BubbleBum website, and a whole host of other retailers. Check out the stockists page here.

Interesting product. Although we have 2 child sets in our car we often need a third. One that can be stored and inflated is a great idea I think

This is so clever, I haven’t even one of these before. It’s so clever and just perfect as an additional booster. We’re getting to the age of sharing lifts with Mademosielle’s friends and booster seats like this would be so good, and it’s solves the storage issue too
    Great review btw

I have never seen one of these before. Would have saved us a fortune on renting one from the rental car agency when we went to france and the usa. Great product. Thank you so much for linking up to Share With Me. #sharewithme

Even three of these wouldn’t take up as much room as one regular booster seat. Glad you found the review useful Jess xx

Wow! Such an amazing idea, especially for a 2nd car or grandparents. Thanks so much for trying and testing! I have a 3 year old and we need to get a couple of boosters. Stopping by from Let’s Talk Mommy!

Wow, as a grandparent this is an amazing idea! We have no room to store endless car seats and swapping them over from car to car is a massive pain in the rear. I shall definitely look into getting one of these! Thanks for sharing πŸ™‚

What a brilliant idea! We are just discussing what we are going to do on holiday in the hire car as it’s too bulky to take three boosters! Great review. #sharewithme
