My All Time Favourite Quotes

Whilst I recover from a nasty, although thankfully short lived, bout of mastitis (worst pain ever next to childbirth!) I’ve been finding it rather challenging to see the good in every situation. Life has been absolutely relentless this year, and
I need to get back to happy, so would like to share with you my all time favourite quotes. You can also find them at the start of each chapter of my book Become the Best You.

“Life is too ironic to fully understand. It takes sadness to know what happiness is. Noise to appreciate silence, and absence to value presence.” Buddha

“People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.” Anon

make peace with your past

“You never know how strong you are until being strong is your only choice.” Bob Marley

“First we form habits, then they form us. Conquer your bad habits, or they will conquer you.” Rob Gilbert

buddha quote

“Respect your efforts, respect yourself. Self-respect leads to self-discipline. When you have both firmly under your belt, that’s real power.” Clint Eastwood

I’ve always loved that Eleanor Roosevelt quote, and I also love the one Denise mentions. Hope you’re feeling much better Renee, how awful, such a miserable thing to get x

Ouch mastitis! Hope you’re on the mend! What a fab selection of quotes – very inspiring. I’ve always liked “above all, be the heroine of your life, not the victim” by Nora Ephron. I like the idea that we have to power to write our own story that way. You are very much the heroine of you life although your past could have made you a victim. I think that’s why we all find you inspirational. Xx

So sorry you’re not feeling good, hope it passes really soon. I love the Buddha quotes here, and the Bob Marley one! I have a few around my home, I can’t remember them now as I’ve a terrible memory and I’m not at home! My mind is suffering! Haha lots of love x

You are one strong lady! Mastitis would have me hiding under the duvet, but you just bite the bullet and dig out your favourite quotes. You should be a life coach, hunny! Favourite quotes? Let me think… “It always seems impossible until it’s done.” Nelson Mandela

It’s a good one isn’t it. Learning not to care what other people think of us is so liberating xx

  16. July 27, 2015 / 7:22 pm

I love that one too! She was a very wise lady 🙂

It really has been an awful few days, but it looks like I’m on the mend now *crosses fingers*

Hey, my current fave is also an Eleanor Roosevelt: Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people.

Sorry to hear about the mastitis. I only ever got part way there with blocked duct and that was bad enough.

  18. July 27, 2015 / 6:40 pm

I really like the first quote! It’s true it does not matter what others think… Those who love us don’t mind! I hope you get back to your happiness!

    Angela xx
