#getgoodsummer Week 2 Update

image

I’ve linked up with all the other lovely bloggers over at Clarina’s Contemplations for Get Good Summer this year. Each of us have written five goals that we would like to achieve by the time the kids are back at school. You can read my little list here if you like. Just to keep us all on our toes, there’s a weekly update linky, so here’s how I’ve been getting on…

1. Writing: I’ve been writing something every day and am just over 10,000 words into my 25,000 target. I have to admit though that I’ve had moments where I’ve been plagued with doubt over whether it’s any good. “ooooh, you’re a tortured artist now” my hubby joked the other day.

2. GAPS: All is continuing to go well. For details about my journey on the GAPS Diet, pop over to my other blog http://mummytriesgaps.wordpress.com

3. Exercise: I’ve been loving my daily strolls, and have had a few big walks over the week. I also had a 5 mile power walk/jog the other day as I only had the baby in the buggy. It was fab, just wish I could do it more often!

4. Clearout: although I’m desperate to get cracking on this, I’ve not managed to make a start yet. It’s annoying because if I don’t get the summer bits on eBay asap then I’m going to miss my window to sell them. Oh well, hopefully next week…

5. Wedding: I’m getting really excited about it now, just over a week to go 🙂

…and fabulous looking cakes they were too! I made a half hearted attempt to start on the dumping ground that is the baby’s bedroom on Thursday. Next step: eBay 🙂

That’s what I’m trying to do as well Denise, get the words out today and worry if they’re good tomorrow. Doesn’t stop the dark thoughts though does it 😉

It’s torture being plagued by writers’ doubts. I try not to worry about whether it is good or not – it’s best to get the words out and then you can change them. But it’s hard to stick by that thought.

Ooh I’d not heard of this linky – looks interesting! I’m very impressed with your word count – I’m just over 4000 into my 15000 target for this month – I need to get cracking!
