A Poem about My Favourite Smells

favourite smells

Freshly brewed coffee on the stove
Upon waking is what I crave most
The smell of a coffee shop
Can often instantly hit the spot

Yummy delights being baked
Delicious cookies, chocolate cake
Smells coming from the kitchen
Can conjure up the hugest grin

Onions and garlic cooked in butter
Make my nostrils flutter
Big fat juicy ribeye steak
Is there more a decadent lunch you could make?

Prepping the kids tea, smells fill the air
Too much temptation for me to bare
Snack time for mummy when they eat
What harm can come from a teeny treat?

Thoughts now turn to hubby’s dinner
As long as it smells good it’s a winner
Lamb shoulder, roast chicken and beef stew
Are particular favourites, how about you?

  6. Hermes Terre aftershave, roast anything with garlic and rosemary, stale fags on a wool jumper (cheers Dad), cut grass, fig candles, my now departed dog’s paws, my now departed horses nose/coat in general, Clarins Blue body spray, victoria sponge, Origins ginger body cream, and petrol! #brilliantblogposts
