An Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Gorgeous Roidal Bikini #ad

Renee modelling Roidal Robin bikini (UK Swimware review)The lovely people at UK Swimwear asked if I would like to review a Roidal bikini. Normally my approach to reviews goes a little something like this:

Will I get good use out of it? if yes, I’ll do a happy dance and accept the offer, if no I’ll politely decline.

It wasn’t so straight forward this time around though, because it meant actually wearing a bikini and posting photos here on the blog. A swimsuit that is much more revealing than anything I’ve worn in the six years I have been a mum.

Never one to miss out on a fabulous opportunity though, I did that happy dance, said hell yeah, and chose an itsy bitsy teeny weeny gorgeous Roidal bikini.

When I was 20 I moved into a travellers house with a bunch of crazy antipodeans. After seeing my knickers on the line one of them told me off for not having nice enough underwear. She forced me to chuck most of it in the bin and go out shopping with her to buy proper lingerie that matched, fitted well, looked fab and most importantly felt great. From that moment onwards I have stuck rigidly to this criteria, and have always had a similar attitude to swimwear.

“The maxim ‘less is more’ comes to mind when we explore this collection and Roidal certainly have gone for the minimalist approach with the Robin bikini. The simple, rich purple gets straight to the point and is unabashedly sexy, rather than fussy. Perfect for the seasoned Roidal woman, who looks for sophistication and elegance in her swimwear.”

When I reveal my body for all to see I want to feel as good about myself as I possibly can, which is why I chose a Roidal bikini. I have to say I feel pretty darn special when I’m wearing it. There’s a certain amount of confidence that this stunning bikini bestows upon me, and rather than trying desperately to cover up my mum-tum, and worrying about my uneven boobs, I’m happy to show them off.

I made a short video clip as well, so you can truly see what it looks like from all angles. There’s no escaping from my wobbly bits, but as I said in my original post this body has grown three babies, of course I’m going to have wobbly bits!

  4. I am currently on Weight Watchers so I am hoping my next swimsuit will be a 2 piece πŸ™‚

  5. I think I would get a one piece for post baby, see how my figure goes for a while before I brave a two piece again

  6. deffo a 1 piece for me – I have in last 3 years dropped from a size 24 to a size 16 but I am still not confident enough yet for a bikini – I need to tone up and lose another 3 stone before I will be facing that mountain πŸ™‚

  7. I’d be brave and go for a two piece. I’m sick of feeling ashamed of my flab all the time and I’m ready to not give a stuff and wear what I want for once!

  8. a one piece, i bought 3 swimsuits for my most recent holiday and ive never felt so happy and comfortable

  9. I think I would go for 2 piece – after all my hard work in the gym I deserve to show it πŸ™‚

  10. I would buy a one piece as I love how it shows of my particular curves to their best advantage! P.S you look fab honey- wear that bikini with pride!!!

  11. You’re a bigger woman than me (in the testicles sense of ‘big’). You’re definitely selling me the idea of wearing a bikini again. I had totally written them off, but am not that opposed to idea. Ok, so now I just need somewhere to wear the bikini to… xxx

  12. I would probably buy a one piece as I really do not feel confident at the moment. I am wanting to loose another 4-5 stone until I feel comfortable and confident about my weight.

Btw, you look fantastic! Well done.

  13. I’ve never worn a bikini in my life, pre or post baby. I wish I had the gonads to just say Yeah, this is my belly, so what. But I don’t. Hats off to you lady. And I don’t think your boobs are uneven, not even a bit! xxx

  14. You’re so kind for saying that, thanks lovely. My issue is also my legs, but I’m doing couch to 5k at the mo so hoping to tone up πŸ™‚

  15. You look great and you are wonderful for posting this. I love the colour. I’d buy a two piece I think – my main issue is my legs to be honest #sharethejoy

  16. Thanks so much my lovely, took a lot of deep breaths to pluck up the courage to do this I can tell ya… all I see is huge flabby thighs and a ton of cellulite but I’m learning to love what I’ve got more and more. Modelling this gorgeous bikini has definitely given me a much needed confidence boost xx

  17. Hey gorgeous! Check you out, modelling bikinis! I always go for one piece these days, but maybe I’ll go back into a bikini at some point. xx

  18. You look great in your bikini and have every right to be proud! If I won I would definitely be going for a one piece i think as have never really been confident in a bikini as i’m too self conscious about my tummy! I would be more relaxed about that after having kids though as I’m probably slimmer now than i was before! x

  19. You look fab chic, I wish I had the courage to wear a bikini after my 3 but I just can’t seem to shift my mummy tum! I’m trying a new mums fitness campaign so fingers crossed it helps. Well done on being an inspiration. X

  20. You look great, I occasionally opt for a bikini, then catch site of myself at an awkward angle in a mirror and go back to the tankini with shorts! Thanks for sharing #sundaystars

  21. I have never had a two piece before – it’s only recently that I have been enough into exercise to be toned enough. I am hoping that I win the Β£40 πŸ™‚ but even if I don’t, I will be off to UK swimwear to get my first bikini. Thanks for the post, and you look great – I think you are proof of the hard work it takes to be a mum and what living a healthy lifestyle does for you.

  22. I’m not sure tbh. I would love a two piece but it would depend on my confidence at the time πŸ™‚ x

  23. Definitely a one piece! I have recently lost 11 stone, serious excess skin issues!! Thank you for the chance to win x

  24. Definitely a one-piece – I’m plus size and am not going anywhere near a bikini πŸ˜€

  25. Hopefully a 2 piece suit but I have to work extra hard in the gym classes now with the holidays coming up
